Job summary

Cold Beers & Cheeseburgers in Phoenix is seeking a friendly restaurant server to take orders, answer questions about the menu and foods, and upsell drinks. You will seat guests, communicate orders to the kitchen, and help with customer service and cleaning.

You will handle payments, maintain cleanliness, and collaborate with the kitchen and team to ensure smooth service, while adhering to safety regulations and alcohol policies. Flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays is required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of food and beverage service procedures.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment.
• Attention to detail and ability to multitask.
• Basic math skills for processing payments accurately.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
• Must be able to work flexible hours, including evening, weekends, and holidays.
• Must have a valid Food Handlers Certification
• Must have an Alcohol Service Licensing or certification.
• Ability to learn cash register software used by bar or restaurant POS - Aloha, Hot Schedule, Paylocity

Responsibilities

• Greet guests with warmth and welcome them.
• Provide menus and make recommendations to enhance the dining experience.
• Take accurate food and drink orders and ensure timely delivery.
• Monitor guest satisfaction and address issues promptly.
• Ensure proper table setup and maintain cleanliness of dining areas.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate order delivery.
• Process guest payments and handle cash transactions.
• Uphold highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene and safety per health regulations.
• Work with team members to create a positive work environment.
• Stay updated on menu items and daily specials.
• Attend trainings and staff meetings as required.
• Adhere to company policies including alcohol service and responsible serving.
