Job summary

Bloomingdale's is seeking a restaurant server to join our food-service team. You will contribute to a memorable dining experience by delivering stellar service, sharing menu knowledge, and staying aware of store happenings—from our world famous frozen yogurt to seasonal promotions.

In a fast-paced setting, you will take accurate orders, assist guests with special requests, and upsell courses while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Effectively communicate and present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers.
• Ability to read and interpret instructional documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule with retail hours, including day, evening, weekends, and/or holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent service to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Present menu and provide detailed information when asked (e.g. about portions, ingredients or food allergies).
• Understand typical "Coursing" as well as the its link to upselling.
• Take accurate food and drinks orders, using ordering system.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple priorities and learn new procedure.
