Job summary

The Gunter Hotel San Antonio is seeking a friendly and professional Server to join our dining team. You will greet guests, take accurate orders, and ensure every guest leaves satisfied with prompt, attentive service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous hospitality or food & beverage service experience preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with guests and coworkers.
• Must obtain and maintain required certifications (e.g., Alcohol Awareness, Food Handler’s Card) per state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests, take accurate orders, and ensure needs are met from start to finish.
• Know the menu inside and out, including ingredients, dietary needs, daily specials, and alcohol service guidelines.
• Juggle multiple tables with ease, keeping service smooth and areas clean.
• Handle transactions accurately, close checks confidently, and follow all security protocols.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of the service area in compliance with hygiene standards.
• Stay energetic and on your feet, lifting, bending, and moving as needed during shifts.
