Job summary

Inn & Spa at Loretto, Santa Fe, NM seeks a friendly restaurant server to deliver polished service and memorable dining experiences. You will take orders, present and process payments, and coordinate courses with the kitchen while maintaining guest satisfaction and professional conduct.

The role requires strong communication, multitasking, and a willingness to work busy shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Clear, friendly, and professional verbal communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask and remain organized in a fast paced restaurant environment.
• Strong listening skills & attention to detail while committing to service standards.
• Ability and willingness to work flexible hours including weekends, holidays and late nights.
• High school diploma or equivalent experience or training required.
• High volume and/or fine dining experience preferred.
• Proficiency with POS systems and basic cash-handling.
• Current New Mexico Food Handler Certification and Alcohol Server Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Take accurate food and beverage orders and enter them into the POS.
• Present checks promptly and process payments accurately.
• Deliver food and beverages according to service standards and perform quality checks after each course.
• Coordinate timing of courses with the kitchen to maintain smooth pacing.
• Complete opening, running, and closing side work and assist teammates as needed.
• Support bar or host staff during peak periods when appropriate.
• Participate in pre-shift meetings to stay informed about menu changes and priorities.
• Maintain a high level of professional interaction with coworkers and guests.
• Ensure proper identification is checked for alcohol service.
