Job summary

MyWinners in Stamford, CT is seeking a friendly server to join our waitstaff. You will welcome guests, assist seating, take orders, and coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and accurate presentations of meals and drinks.

Applicants should have 2+ years in food service or customer support, excellent communication, and a positive hospitality attitude. Training and scheduling will cover shifts including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Previous experience (2+ years) in a restaurant or customer service role is preferred.
• Applicants must be 18+ due to gaming/gambling industry involved.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure.
• Attention to detail with accurate order-taking and payment processing.
• POS experience preferred (Toast).
• Knowledge of food and beverage menus, including dietary restrictions and allergies.
• Basic math skills for handling payments and calculating tips.
• Flexibility to work in shifts, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Physical stamina to stand, walk, and carry trays for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests with a friendly demeanor.
• Assist in seating guests and provide menus when a host/ess isn’t available.
• Provide water, drinks, food, etc.
• Explain menu items, ingredients, and preparation methods to guests. Ask about allergies.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders from guests and enter them into the POS system.
• Make recommendations based on guests' preferences and dietary restrictions.
• Coordinate with the kitchen/bar staff to ensure orders are prepared and delivered on time and together.
• Present bills to guests and handle payment transactions accurately and quickly.
