Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Maintains a working knowledge of full food and drink menu while making recommendations.
• Follow high standards of food product, sanitation, storage, and handling procedures.
• Observe guests’ dining experience to confirm satisfaction, responding promptly to any requests.
• Provide guest checks promptly and return receipts.
• Keeps all service and table areas clean, organized, and stocked.
• Assist busser or fellow servers in clearing and resetting tables when needed.
• Provide engaged, friendly and attentive customer service to all guests.
• Follow and adhere to all standards set forth by federal and state guidelines.
• Know and follow liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcohol.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
• Guarantee neat and quality service.
• Participate in daily shift meetings.
• Adhere to uniform & grooming standards.
• Follow cash handling and payment procedures; report issues; complete safety training and certifications.
• Ensure compliance with hotel policies and standards; maintain professional appearance.
• Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information.
• Embodies the Starwood Hotels vision and values.
