Job summary

Family Dollar Stores Of Virginia LLC is seeking a Customer Service Associate to help deliver a great shopping experience. You will assist customers, handle transactions, and maintain store cleanliness and stock. This part-time role involves unloading merchandise and providing a safe, friendly environment for all.

Experience in retail or similar settings is preferred, with strong communication and teamwork skills essential to succeed in a busy store.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift 30–50 lbs and perform repetitive lifting and walking.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions at the cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks and stock replenishment.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and associates.
• Keep the store clean, restocked, and presentable, including bathrooms.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
