Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Business, Hospitality Management or Hotel Management or related field preferred.
• Minimum of one year of housekeeping experience in hotel, hospitality or lodging environment.
• Previous supervisory, lead, or management experience preferred.
• Experience training, coaching, and directing team members.
• Knowledge of hotel housekeeping operations, cleaning procedures, and brand standards.
• Experience with hotel property management or housekeeping systems.
• Strong customer service, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends, holidays, and evenings.

Responsibilities

• Open, supervise, and close the Housekeeping Department as assigned.
• Supervise Housekeeping and Laundry team members, providing direction and support.
• Assign daily work, room boards, and special projects for efficiency.
• Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and laundry operations for cleanliness.
• Monitor performance and provide coaching, training, and corrective action.
• Coordinate staffing schedules and daily assignments to maintain coverage.
• Participate in hiring decisions and train new team members.
• Maintain knowledge of Housekeeping and Laundry functions as a resource.
• Assist with budgeting, expense control, and inventory management.
• Utilize housekeeping systems to monitor room status and daily operations.
