Job summary

William Chris Wine Company in Fredericksburg, TX, is seeking a full-time Hospitality Manager to lead daily tasting room operations and elevate guest experiences. The role reports to the Senior Hospitality Manager and oversees a portion of the hospitality team across administration, operations, and training.

The ideal candidate will manage staff hiring, scheduling, and performance while ensuring compliance with regulations, inventory control, and events coordination.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–5 years of wine industry experience in a customer-facing hospitality role.
• Minimum 2–5 years of experience planning and executing hospitality events.
• Ability to communicate clearly with managers, employees, vendors, and guests.

Responsibilities

• Interview, hire, schedule, and manage tasting room staff.
• Track and reconcile daily sales, tips, and cash handling procedures.
• Maintain and monitor scheduling software and staff timekeeping.
• Report performance data weekly, monthly, and quarterly to senior leadership.
• Ensure adherence to TABC and labor law compliance.
• Monitor facilities, grounds, parking, and environmental presentation.
• Oversee tasting room wine and merchandise inventory and reorder processes.
• Direct and oversee the logistics team for tasting room operations and events.
• Provide real-time coaching and performance management using KPIs.
• Hold regular team meetings for morale, communication, and education.
