Job summary

Ascend Prime Steak & Sushi in Bellevue, WA is seeking polished, energetic Hosts to join our front-of-house team. You will warmly welcome guests, assist with reservations and seating, communicate closely with the management and service teams, and help create a smooth flow throughout the dining room.

We offer a professional, friendly environment with complimentary employee meals and discounts, PTO (1 hour per 40 hours), and a 401(k) plan. Pay rate is $17.13 per hour plus tips.

Qualifications

• Prior experience as a Host is preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English with customers and coworkers.
• Ability to operate Aloha POS system and input orders accurately.
• Five years as a host or assistant host is typical for the role.
• Excellent customer relations, sales and communication skills.
• Must have valid Washington State DOH card or other required cards.

Responsibilities

• Warmly greet and welcome guests upon arrival.
• Manage reservations, waitlists, and guest information accurately.
• Communicate with managers, servers, and team members regarding reservations and table availability.
• Answer incoming phone calls and assist guests with reservation questions.
• Confirm reservations and note special occasions, requests, preferences, and important guest details.
• Recognize returning guests and provide personalized service.
• Maintain an organized, clean, and professional host stand and entrance.
• Assist with coat check and guest-facing needs when necessary.
• Handle guest concerns professionally and involve a manager when appropriate.
• Assist with opening and closing host duties.
• Support front-of-house team to ensure a seamless guest experience.
