Job summary

The HMSHost Corporation is seeking a Host/Hostess to greet guests and seat them at appropriate tables while coordinating with servers for a smooth dining experience.

As the first point of contact, you will manage reservations, maintain seating charts, and assist with cash handling and service tasks. This non-exempt role reports to the Store Manager and offers comprehensive benefits and career growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Customer service and cash handling experience preferred.
• Excellent organization skills.
• Ability to read and interpret restaurant seating charts.
• Demonstrates the ability to interact with the public and coworkers in a friendly, enthusiastic and outgoing manner.
• Ability to stand, bend and perform normal job functions.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and seat them at appropriate tables.
• Record reservations and seating times.
• Maintain seating charts and update as needed.
• Assist with table setup and cleaning of dining areas.
• Assist with cashier duties and cash handling as required.
• Explain menus and beverage options to guests.
• Coordinate between kitchen and floor staff to ensure guest satisfaction.
