Job summary

Mia's Italian Kitchen is seeking a friendly host/hostess to greet guests and guide them to seating, while maintaining a welcoming environment. The role requires English fluency, strong communication, and the ability to multi-task under pressure.

The ideal candidate will have good organizational and sales skills and be motivated with minimal supervision. Prior hosting experience is preferred but not required, and a high school diploma or GED is suitable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
• Experience as a host is preferred, but not required.
• Must speak English fluently and be able to write in basic English.
• Must have good organizational, time management and sales skills.
• Good communication skills—both written and verbal.
• Must be dependable, reliable and be driven with minimal supervision.
• Must possess a high level of awareness, attention to detail and follow-through.
• Must be able to multi-task under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and escort them to their tables or seating area.
• Make guests feel comfortable while they wait for a table.
• Promote a fun atmosphere and contribute to a positive dining experience.
• Assist in marketing the restaurant by setting the stage for exceptional dining.
