Job summary

TEAM Schostak Family Restaurants is seeking a friendly host/hostess to greet guests, manage seating, and keep the entrance area welcoming. This role supports servers and helps maintain flow in the dining room while upholding food safety standards.

The position requires adaptability to shifts, standing for long periods, and the ability to assist with various tasks to ensure a positive guest experience.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to work as a TEAM.
• Friendly and outgoing personality.
• Follow appropriate food safety guidelines.
• Able to work a variety of shifts including evenings and weekends.
• Able to stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to transport and carry objects such as a high chair or booster seat.
• Ability to wipe, sweep and carry plates to kitchen.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests as they enter and depart the restaurant and hold the door open for guests.
• Seat guests according to the established plan and guests’ needs.
• Keep host/hostess stand and waiting area clean.
• Ensure menus remain clean and stocked.
• Complete restroom checks and refill paper products in bathrooms, as needed.
• Sanitize and wipe down all tables and sweep the area and reset the table.
• Assist the servers when needed by taking the initial drink order or running food to the guests.
• Complete daily opening and closing work to ensure a clean and safe environment for guests and TEAM.
