Job summary

Resorts World Miami Hilton in Miami, FL is seeking a friendly restaurant host/greeter to warmly welcome guests, present menus, escort them to seating and ensure a superb first impression for every guest.

Responsibilities include maintaining dining room setup and grooming standards, coordinating with shifts, handling reservations and events, and supporting staff to deliver attentive service from opening to closing while upholding Hilton standards and the Blue Energy culture.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of restaurant operations, including staffing levels, equipment and guest relations.
• Ability to read English to comprehend guest requests, memos and reservations.
• Ability to speak English to conduct small employee meetings and impart information.
• Ability to remember and promote the variety of menu items.
• Ability to move through a crowded room to seat guests.
• Ability to handle guest complaints with empathy and proactive solutions.

Responsibilities

• Meet and greet guests as they arrive, offer seating, escort to table and present menu.
• Read, maintain and log communications to coordinate shifts and management.
• Maintain dining room setup and enforce grooming standards; assign stations to staff.
• Conduct daily roll call meetings to inform staff of promotions, specials, and memos.
• Receive, record and arrange reservations and special functions in the restaurant.
• Perform duties such as carrying coffee/tea, refilling cups, handling guest requests and ensuring satisfaction.
• Open and close duties; assist with side work including cleaning, stocking, and folding napkins.
• Maintain open communication between guests, management and service staff.
• Attend required meetings.
