Job summary

TAP Sports Bar at MGM Springfield is seeking a part-time Host to greet guests, manage reservations, and keep the dining area welcoming and organized. You will use the reservation book, assist servers, and coordinate with the kitchen to ensure smooth seating and guest flow.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in a dining host role, strong communication, and a passion for guest service. The starting rate is $18.40 per hour, with nights, weekends, and holidays likely; benefits include medical/dental

Qualifications

• 2+ years of prior experience in a dining host role.
• Strong communication skills.
• Passion for providing exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests promptly and courteously as they enter the restaurant.
• Manage reservations and maintain an accurate count using the reservation book.
• Communicate with Restaurant Reservations regarding special orders and requests.
• Relay guest needs to management and the kitchen.
• Maintain knowledge of daily activities, table setups, and restaurant hours.
• Ensure menus are current and in good condition.
• Check on guests waiting to be seated and assure them their tables are being prepared.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned work areas.
• Assist food servers, bus persons, and food service runners as needed.
