Job summary

Urban Egg is opening its newest location in Austin, TX and hiring an opening Host to create a welcoming guest experience from day one. You will manage seating, reservations, and guest inquiries while contributing to a fast-paced, friendly team atmosphere.

This is a tipped position with a competitive hourly wage plus tips. Benefits include health, dental, and vision insurance, matching 401(k), and access to an Employee Assistance Program.

Qualifications

• Prior hospitality experience preferred.
• Friendly and guest-focused attitude.
• Proficient using guest waitlist and other reservation system technologies.
• Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
• Daytime and weekend availability.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and professionally upon arrival.
• Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently, working with various reservation systems.
• Answer phone calls and respond to guest inquiries promptly.
• Maintain a clean and organized host stand and waiting area.
• Coordinate with the service team to ensure smooth seating flow.
• Handle guest complaints or concerns with professionalism and courtesy.
• Assist with special events or large parties as needed.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Assist with to go orders.
