Qualifications

• Previous restaurant host or customer service experience preferred.
• Experience with guest reservation platforms and POS systems is preferred (OpenTable and Toast).
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as business demands.

Responsibilities

• Greet every guest promptly with warmth and professionalism.
• Manage reservations, waitlists, and walk-in guests using the reservation system.
• Quote wait times accurately and balance seating to optimize service flow.
• Seat guests strategically to balance server sections and maintain pace.
• Communicate clearly with managers and service staff regarding table status and guest needs.
• Maintain knowledge of offerings and policies to assist guests with inquiries.
• Answer phones professionally and handle reservations, carryouts, and general inquiries.
• Process carryout orders and payments accurately per procedures.
• Document event inquiries and large parties in the designated platform.
• Keep host stand, entrance, and lobby clean and organized.
• Monitor dining room and entry areas to ensure a welcoming environment.
• Assist with menu presentation and guest touchpoints as needed.
• Support servers during peak times to maintain smooth operations.
• Encourage guests to join rewards programs when appropriate.
• Complete opening, running, and closing side work as assigned.
• Follow all policies and sanitation guidelines.
• Address guest concerns professionally and escalate when needed.
• Contribute to team morale and assist colleagues during high volume.
