Job summary

Upstream Hospitality Group is looking for a customer-focused Host to join the Tap Room team. You will welcome guests, seat them at tables, and help ensure an exceptional dining experience.

You are a friendly, organized communicator who can manage seating flow, answer calls, and coordinate with servers to keep service smooth and guests satisfied. The role requires energy, reliability, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a host or server in a busy restaurant is a plus but not required.
• Friendly, outgoing personality with a passion for guest experiences.
• Strong communication skills with guests and team members.
• Ability to communicate effectively in person and over the phone.
• Team player mindset and willingness to help keep service running smoothly.
• Comfortable standing and walking for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and carry items up to 30 lbs when needed.

Responsibilities

• Greet every guest with a friendly, upbeat attitude.
• Seat guests and manage table rotation for the service team.
• Provide menus and inform guests of specials or promotions.
• Communicate server assignments to guests.
• Manage guest flow in dining and bar areas and provide accurate wait times.
• Answer the phone and direct calls appropriately.
• Handle to-go and delivery orders promptly and accurately.
• Keep the host stand neat, organized, and welcoming.
• Be a team player and assist where needed to keep the restaurant running smoothly.
