Job summary

KPOT Korean BBQ & Hot Pot in Riverside, IL is seeking a friendly Host to welcome guests and support the front-of-house team in a high-energy dining environment. You will greet guests, manage waitlists, seat guests, answer questions about the menu and hours, and help with routine tasks while maintaining a hospitable, guest-focused attitude.

Prior restaurant experience is not required but preferred; you must be able to stand long shifts and lift up to 50 lbs; flexible scheduling including evenings

Qualifications

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 8–10 hours per shift).
• Strong communication and a passion for delivering world-class service at every touchpoint.
• Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests promptly and warmly upon arrival.
• Manage waitlists and provide accurate wait times.
• Seat guests and assist servers with initial drink orders when needed.
• Answer guest questions regarding menu, KPOT brand, hours, and policies.
• Assist with side work and front-of-house tasks.
• Monitor table turnover and ensure clean, stocked host station.
• Thank guests and invite them to return.
• Inform management of large parties or guest concerns.
• Answer phones professionally and direct to appropriate team members.
• Handle to-go inquiries or direct appropriately.
• Maintain readiness of business cards, menus, and paper goods.
• Monitor restrooms and report issues.
