Job summary

CRAVE in Sioux City, IA is seeking an energetic host/hostess to greet guests, manage reservations, and guide seating to ensure a welcoming dining experience. The role supports daily operations, coordinates with servers, and helps maintain a clean, organized host stand and dining area.

Hours vary across seven days, starting as early as 9 AM and ending as late as 2 AM, depending on business needs. This is an hourly position with opportunities for team collaboration and guest-focused service.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication with management, servers, team members and guests.
• Basic reading skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Must visually scan restaurant for clean, unoccupied tables.
• Ability to work well with others and independently.
• Ability to organize and multi-task.

Responsibilities

• Check in all employees and highlight on the OpenTable system.
• Answer the phone, take reservations, and take takeout orders.
• Ensure menus are clean and organized.
• Greet, check in and seat guests.
• Print any special chits off OpenTable with instructions for servers.
• Review all open table reservations and map out the shift plan.
• Utilize OpenTable to capture important guest information.
• Work with manager on the floor to ensure proper wait time.
• Ensure restrooms and the host stand are clean, stocked and organized.
• Interact with guests to ensure a positive dining experience.
