Job summary

Ellis Island Casino, Hotel & Brewery is hiring a Food Server at Village Pub Horizon to deliver exceptional service in a fast-paced environment. You will greet guests, take orders, explain menus, coordinate with the kitchen, and ensure timely, accurate service across sections.

The role requires at least six months of serving experience, ability to handle allergies, and strong English communication. Competitive benefits and on-site parking are provided.

Qualifications

• Six months+ serving in food & beverage.
• Must meet state minimum age for serving alcohol.
• Friendly, enthusiastic, outgoing with guests & team.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of health, safety & sanitation practices.
• Fluent English (written & spoken).

Responsibilities

• Greeting and seating guests.
• Explaining the menu to guests and making recommendations.
• Taking food and beverage orders and entering them accurately (noting allergies).
• Communicating with kitchen staff for timely service.
• Balancing dishes and trays and delivering to tables.
• Providing attentive service by refilling drinks as needed.
• Checking in with guests during meals to ensure satisfaction.
• Setting tables, polishing glasses, folding napkins and replenishing condiments.
