Job summary

Newport Hospitality Group is seeking a friendly Food Server to join our hotel restaurant team. You will greet guests, upsell menu items, and deliver attentive service in a fast-paced setting.

Ideal candidates possess strong communication and math skills, previous hospitality experience, and a commitment to safety and guest satisfaction. Training provided; opportunity to travel for special rates and team member perks.

Note: The hotel operates 24/7; flexibility in scheduling is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; prior hospitality experience preferred.
• Familiarity with POS systems is a plus.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer-service skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Customer Interaction: Greet guests warmly, use names when possible, explain specials, and suggest menu items (cocktails, appetizers, desserts).
• Operational Duties: Set up sanitized tables, process orders via POS systems, serve food promptly, and complete end-of-shift side tasks (restocking, cleaning).
• Compliance & Safety: Adhere to PCI standards for payment processing, health/sanitation protocols, and hotel policies.
• Knowledge: Master menu details, daily specials, hotel promotions, room rates, and local events to assist guests effectively.
