Job summary

Wooddale Church is seeking a Pastor/Director of Connections to lead the guest experience across campuses, ensuring warmth, hospitality, and thoughtful engagement at every touchpoint. This role develops systems and volunteer teams to support worship, community, serving, baptism, and membership.

The position requires strong relational leadership, strategic vision, and the ability to recruit and empower volunteers.

Qualifications

• Active and growing faith in Jesus; demonstrated character and calling to vocational ministry.
• Gifted in organizational leadership and management of projects and teams.
• Proven ability to recruit, train, empower and sustain volunteer teams and structures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to speak with confidence in large group settings.
• Highly relational systems leader with proven ability to cast vision and sustain ministry.
• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s in ministry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide vision and strategic leadership for the complete guest experience across all campuses and church-wide events.
• Own the transition from First Time Guest to discipleship environment and connect guests with next steps.
• Recruit, train, coach, and empower volunteer leaders within the Connections ministry.
• Develop scalable systems and measurable processes that improve guest engagement and ministry outcomes.
• Oversee the Baptism process and Get to Know Wooddale initiatives, including invitations and interviews.
