Job summary

Nurtur Aveda Institutes in Columbus, OH invites a hospitality-driven professional to join our salon team. You’ll uphold our core values, deliver exceptional guest care, and contribute to service excellence in a high-touch environment.

You will schedule appointments accurately, assist with product knowledge, and collaborate with the Institute team to ensure a quality experience for guests, while maintaining professional standards and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; bachelor’s degree a plus.
• Minimum of 2 years' continuous retail or customer service experience in a salon or spa.
• Exhibit leadership, time management, organization, self-direction, initiative, resourcefulness, and follow-through with ability to work fast and multi-task.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
• Demonstrate professionalism and confidentiality in manner, dress, and conduct.

Responsibilities

• Uphold the Nurtur Core Values and Behaviors and Aveda Success Factors.
• Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills for a high-touch salon/spa setting.
• Maintain focus on hospitality, guest care, and service excellence.
• Coordinate with Institute team to understand services and scheduling for guest experiences.
• Implement effective selling strategies to up-sell services and notify guests of specials.
• Assist during slow periods by supporting team members to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Pre-book appointments and coordinate with the Salon + Spa Manager.
• Communicate inventory shortage challenges to the Salon + Spa Manager.
• Maintain professionalism with students, team, and guests; ensure safety and security standards.
• Meet and exceed performance goals set by leadership.
