Job summary

Sonesta International Hotels is seeking a Guest Services Agent to manage front desk operations, assist guests, and support the Operations Manager. You will be the first contact for guests, handling registrations, inquiries, and transactions with the Sonesta G.U.E.S.T. standards.

Responsibilities include check-in/out, room information, upselling where appropriate, and maintaining security of guest data. A high school diploma and hospitality experience are required, with union pay arrangements

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year of hotel or retail customer service preferred.
• Ability to speak, read, and write fluent English; other languages beneficial.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Opera systems preferred.
• ServSafe certification may be required; TIPS certification may be required.

Responsibilities

• Register guests, issue keys, and answer phones promptly and courteously.
• Process cash and credit transactions accurately and maintain cash security.
• Upsell rooms and assist with reservations and changes as needed.
• Coordinate with shifts to ensure seamless guest service and safety compliance.
• Follow Sonesta service standards in all guest interactions.
