Job summary

Dialog Café WeHo in West Hollywood is seeking a part-time Cashier to join our front-of-house team. You will greet guests, take orders, manage payments, and keep the counter organized in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Prior customer service or café/restaurant experience preferred
• Valid Food Handler’s Certificate and ABC License
• Strong understanding of hospitality and service standards
• Clear, calm, professional communication
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Accurate money handling and cash accountability
• Comfortable standing for long periods
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs
• Willingness to follow directions and ask questions when needed
• Familiarity with health and safety regulations

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and create a welcoming first impression
• Learn and maintain knowledge of the menu and modifiers
• Stay up to date on changes to ensure accurate ordering and communication
• Accurately take guest orders in person with clarity
• Provide menu guidance and thoughtful recommendations
• Operate the POS system efficiently and accurately
• Handle cash transactions and maintain drawer accuracy
• Maintain café pacing and flow
• Engage with guests to ensure satisfaction
• Address guest concerns professionally and escalate when needed
• Perform opening and closing duties according to checklist
• Maintain high standards of service and cleanliness
• Assist with side work and general upkeep
• Support teammates and other departments to maintain a positive environment
