Job summary

Habit Burger & Grill in Whittier, CA is hiring a friendly Cashier for part-time shifts. You’ll take orders, process payments, and help keep the dining area inviting and clean.

The role emphasizes Genuine Hospitality, cross-training across stations, and delivering great service with energy, teamwork, and a positive attitude. You must demonstrate excellent customer service standards and be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in related food service cashier position preferred.
• Food Handler’s Card/Certification may be required according to local/state regulations.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule based on restaurant needs.

Responsibilities

• Greet and interact with customers in a polite and friendly manner.
• Take customer’s orders and punch them into the restaurant POS system.
• Provide customers with information on menu items, ingredients, and prices.
• Process credit card and cash payments and accurately tender change.
• Relay customer’s order to the kitchen.
• Control, organize, monitor and maintain appropriate levels in cash drawer.
• Handle customer’s requests and complaints.
• Maintain cleanliness and stocking levels of dining areas.
• Ensure that the service area is kept stocked, clean, and organized at all times.
• Assist in food portioning and preparation tasks.
• Comply with all established standards, including personal safety, food safety, sanitation, personal hygiene, appearance, and uniform.
