Job summary

Super Panga in Newport Beach, CA is seeking a motivated Cashier to join our restaurant and bar team. This role involves greeting guests, processing payments at the POS, and keeping service smooth while promoting specials and proactive guest engagement.

Ideal candidates are 18+ with the ability to obtain ABC RBS and California Food Handler Certification, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with strong attention to detail and friendly communication.

Qualifications

• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. and 18+ years old.
• Able to obtain ABC Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) and California Food Handler Certification.
• Competent in handling payments accurately, including cash, credit cards, and other forms of payment.
• Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize, organize, and manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Friendly, approachable, and professional demeanor with effective guest communication.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and inform them of specials or promotions.
• Verify guest identification to ensure legal age for alcohol service.
• Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system to accept cash and process credit card payments accurately.
• Wrap and bag to-go orders efficiently and with care.
• Assist other restaurant staff as needed to maintain smooth operations.
• Anticipate guest needs and provide a professional, friendly experience.
• Complete opening, side work, and closing duties to ensure restaurant is fully prepared for service.
• Maintain all safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards in accordance with Health Department and restaurant guidelines.
