Brookshire Grocery Company seeks a friendly cashier to engage customers, handle checkout duties, and maintain accurate transactions in a busy store environment.

You will assist customers, process payments, manage bagging duties, and uphold store standards while following company policies. Candidates should be at least 16 years old and may need TABC/LACT certification where applicable.

Qualifications

• Basic cashier knowledge and ability to operate cash register.
• Familiar with tender policies and procedures.
• Competent math and counting abilities.
• Willingness to learn new technology systems and processes.
• Strong customer-service orientation and effective communication.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced store environment.
• Maintain high accuracy in transactions and handling cash.
• Able to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsabilités

• Ensure correct checkout totals by weighing, keying, and scanning items while maintaining accurate register cash counts.
• Memorize product codes and stay informed about current ads and promotions.
• Adhere to tender policies for checks, credit, debit, coupons, EBT, and related items.
• Deliver friendly, customer-service oriented assistance and resolve inquiries.
• Promote enrollment in the Thank You Card program and assist with sign-ups where applicable.
• Bag groceries properly and keep items organized, while preventing cross-contamination.
• Maintain clean, safe front-end areas and restock as needed.
• Follow company safety policies and procedures and comply with all rules.
