Job summary

Harmons Grocery in South Jordan is seeking a friendly front-end cashier to ensure customers leave the store with a positive experience. You will scan items quickly, handle money, give accurate change, bag groceries, and promote the Foodie Club Card.

You will maintain a clean, organized check stand, answer questions, help customers locate items, and follow Harmons policies on checks, gift cards, and WIC. The role requires good math, 10-key proficiency, and weekend, evening, and holiday

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or GED preferred; or any combination of education, experience, and training which provides the following knowledge, skills, and abilities.
• Basic math skills used for making change
• 10-key skills
• Ability to interpret policies and procedures
• Excellent organization and planning skills
• Must possess solid communication skills, including verbal and listening skills to communicate with customers and associates
• Must possess integrity and a positive attitude
• Ability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays

Responsibilities

• Scan items quickly and accurately
• Handle money and give accurate change
• Bag produce items and other items when needed
• Promote Foodie Club Card at each transaction
• Provide exceptional customer service to every customer
• Answer questions and assist customers with locating items
• Follow Harmons policies for checks, gift cards, WIC, etc.
