Job summary

Responsibilities

Greet, engage and assist customers in a friendly manner.
Process customer transactions quickly, accurately and efficiently at the check lane.
Understand and operate the Point of Sale (POS) system and handle tenders (cash, checks, cards, SNAP EBT, WIC, coupons) per policy.
Adhere to cash handling limits and loss prevention guidelines of the store.
Follow policies for restricted sale items (alcohol, tobacco, DVDs) and stay aware of pricing discrepancies.
Maintain awareness of ads and promotions; ensure cleanliness and food safety guidelines.
Identify unsafe conditions and report to management; assist with minor maintenance as needed.
Provide answers to product questions and help create a welcoming environment for customers.
