Job summary

Omni Hotels & Resorts in San Antonio is seeking a Guest Service / Server Assistant to support restaurant operations. You will greet guests, assist servers, and help maintain a clean, efficient dining room while delivering a consistent guest experience.

The role requires knowledge of menus, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and flexibility to work weekends and holidays. Training will cover safety, service standards, and beverage handling.

• Must be comfortable talking and interacting with guests.
• Must show a sense of urgency when it comes to the needs of the guests.
• Must have problem solving abilities, be self-motivated and organized.
• Must be able to work under moderate supervision.
• Maintains a safe, clean, organized, and stocked work area.
• Must be able to work flexible shifts and schedules, including weekends and holidays.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have an unexpired tips certification.
• Always speaks to guests with enthusiasm.
• Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Experience in a hospitality industry in similar position.
• Must have knowledge of the floor plan and table numbers as outlined in training.

Responsibilities

• Must have knowledge of all menu items
• Greet guests in a warm and friendly manner
• Provide bread and water service to our guests
• Assist the server with pre bussing of plates
• Clean and resetting of dirty tables according to standards
• Cleaning and polishing of water glasses and silverware
• Assisting servers in any capacity to ensure guest satisfaction
• Ensure dining room is set up prior to opening of restaurant
• Set tables with clean pressed linen, china, silverware and glassware
• Ensure dining room furniture and floors are kept clean and arranged
