Job summary

IHG Hotels & Resorts is seeking a friendly bartender to greet guests, prepare drinks, and support bar operations at our Holiday Inn property in Cleveland. You’ll work with restaurant staff to provide a seamless dining experience and uphold brand standards.

Applicants should be able to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and work flexible hours including nights and weekends. Prior bartending experience or formal training is preferred, and you’ll stay professional and personable with guests.

Qualifications

• Fitness — on your feet most of the day with bending and kneeling.
• Strength — lift, push and pull barrels/crates up to 50lbs (23 kg).
• Literate — read, write and do basic maths.
• Flexible — night, weekend and holiday shifts.
• Experienced — know how to prepare a wide range of drinks, ideally with bartending training.
• Compliant — follow laws on food handling and alcohol, meet age requirements, fluent in local language.
• Articulate — warm, welcoming communicator.

Responsibilities

• Create a warm welcome and set the tone for guest experiences.
• Prepare and serve drinks to high standards and highlight promotions.
• Work with restaurant colleagues for seamless food service.
• Set up bar, stock supplies, manage inventory and ensure equipment works.
• Change beer barrels and maintain bar cleanliness and security.
• Process cash and card transactions.
• Wear the uniform with pride and be ready for ad-hoc duties.
• Follow safety procedures.
