Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC in Metairie, LA seeks a part-time Customer Service Associate to deliver a great shopping experience. You will assist customers, handle transactions, ensure cash security, and keep the store stocked and clean.

The role requires basic high school education, prior retail or service experience, and strong interpersonal skills to maintain a positive environment for guests and team members.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift 30–50 lbs and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions at the cash register.
• Maintain cash security and protect company assets.
• Keep store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and unload trucks for stock replenishment.
• Maintain a safe, respectful, and friendly environment for customers and staff.
• Ensure store cleanliness including bathrooms, floors, and trash removal.
• Other duties as assigned.
