Job summary

The Tennessee Aquarium in Chattanooga is seeking a part-time Guest Services Associate to deliver outstanding customer care by anticipating and meeting the needs of all visitors. You will rotate between posts, assist guests, and help maintain smooth operation across River Journey and Ocean Journey buildings.

The role requires strong service recovery, the ability to work under pressure, and comfort directing crowds.

Responsibilities

• Connects with visitors to ensure a positive, high level of customer service throughout their visit.
• Addresses complaints and provides prompt service recovery in a calm and professional manner.
• Rotates between each designated post to assist and educate visitors and ensure efficient operations.
• Directs visitors to maintain smooth flow and monitor crowding; assists with elevators and escalators as needed.
• Monitors safety of animals and visitors at touch tanks and communicates rules clearly.
