Job summary

Fairfield Inn Greenwood SC is seeking a Guest Service Representative for full-time 7a-3p and 3p-11p shifts. You will greet guests, register rooms, promote hotel services, and help drive guest satisfaction while following brand standards.

This role requires strong customer service experience, reliability, and ability to work flexible hours. You will use the PMS to process charges and assist guests with local information and directions.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in customer service at a branded hotel preferred.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Professional conduct, honesty and trustworthiness.
• Excellent attendance and punctuality.
• Able to perform major life activities: standing, lifting, bending, reading, and communicating.
• Able to stand for eight hours, bend, stretch, and reach.
• Shift may vary and include holidays, weekends and evenings.
• Able to push or pull 60 pounds and lift or carry 30 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register guests, assign rooms, protect guest privacy, and accommodate special requests.
• Promote and sell hotel services/amenities.
• Encourage repeat business by taking future reservations and suggesting alternatives.
• Identify sales leads through guest interactions and report to the appropriate party.
• Inform housekeeping and other departments of special requests and needs.
• Verify credit card validity at shift end.
• Learn and utilize the PMS when applicable.
• Balance cash, checks, and other payments at shift end.
• Adhere to hotel cash handling and deposit procedures.
• Assist in maintaining a clean, professional lobby and dining area.
• Know emergency procedures and follow safety standards.
• Log and communicate any unusual occurrences to the manager.
• Maintain a cooperative working climate with colleagues.
• Support laundry procedures and linen folding as needed.
• Use service recovery logs for shift-to-shift communication.
• Meet guest expectations through service and teamwork.
