Job summary

The Tennessee Aquarium in Chattanooga is seeking a Guest Services Associate to deliver outstanding service to every visitor. This part-time, hourly position requires enthusiasm, strong communication, and the ability to handle large groups with calm professionalism.

You will rotate between different posts, greet guests, address questions, assist with directions, and support safety and operations across the aquarium buildings. Evening and weekend shifts are required.

• Ability to address large groups of people at one time.

• Ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods and move between buildings.

Responsibilities

• Connects with visitors to ensure a high level of customer service throughout their visit.
• Addresses complaints and provides prompt service recovery in a calm and professional manner.
• Rotates between designated posts and maintains knowledge of each area to assist visitors.
• Directs visitors to ensure smooth flow and monitor elevators/escalators.
• Monitors safety of animals and visitors at touch tanks and communicates rules.
• Communicates professionally via two-way radio.
• Addresses large groups with confidence using a microphone.
• Upholds safety protocols and reports concerns in a timely manner.
