Job summary

B. F. Saul Company Hospitality Group in the Washington, DC area is seeking a guest-focused server to prepare and serve food and beverages, while upholding health regulations and brand standards to ensure guest satisfaction.

Applicants must be available to work at least two evenings (Thu–Sun) with prior serving experience and preferred TIPS certification. Strong English communication and physical stamina are required for this fast-paced hospitality role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• TIPS or CARE beverage service certification desired, or ability to obtain certification.
• One or more years of guest service experience.
• Ability to speak, understand, and write English.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Guest Service: anticipates and responds to guests in a friendly, positive and timely manner and provides high quality service.
• Serving Duties: takes orders accurately, upsells menu items, and follows health regulations and POS procedures.
• Side Work: performs cleaning and stock duties around the restaurant and stations.
• Helps control expenses: handles cash and transactions according to policies to reduce waste.
• Works Safely: maintains a clean, safe work area and follows emergency procedures.
• Self/Workload Management: plans, organizes and prioritizes tasks; attends department meetings.
• Works collaboratively with others: coordinates with room service, bartenders, and other departments to meet guest needs.
