Job summary

HUDDLE HOUSE in Kentucky is seeking an Assistant Manager to lead restaurant staff, ensure guest satisfaction, and model exceptional service. You will prioritize guests, oversee daily operations, and collaborate with the General Manager to drive the unit’s performance.

Responsibilities include coordinating HR at the unit level, managing budgets, maintaining cleanliness, and training teams on POS and back/front of house. Strong communication and ServSafe certification are required.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of daily restaurant operations experience.
• Strong communication with hourly staff.
• Ability to cover all shifts.
• Previous restaurant experience required.
• Current ServSafe Certification.

Responsibilities

• Ensure each guest is fully satisfied during visits.
• Handle guest complaints with empathy and care.
• Manage unit HR: hiring, termination decisions, and training.
• Complete daily unit paperwork: sales, shift records, inventories.
• Meet or exceed budgets, focusing on COGS and EBITDA.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation.
• Create staffing schedules with the General Manager.
• Hold monthly meetings with all employees.
• Establish community presence to drive business.
• Enforce brand standards and company policies.
• Assist GM with new hire paperwork, timesheets and payroll data.
• Train staff on POS systems and front/back of house operations.
• Notify GM or District Manager of hurdles to success.
