Job summary

Magnolia Table in Waco, Texas is seeking a friendly Waitstaff member to deliver exceptional guest service and ensure a clean, welcoming dining area.

You will greet guests, present menus, relay orders to the kitchen, and support opening and closing side work while maintaining high standards of hospitality.

Evenings, weekends, and holidays may be required, with opportunities to learn and grow in a fast-paced restaurant team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 0-1 years of related work experience preferred.
• Food Handler's license and TABC certification required upon hire.
• Must be available to work weekends, nights, special events, and holidays as business needs require.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the highest level of guest care in line with Magnolia’s brand.
• Greet and escort guests to their table when necessary.
• Ensure steps of service are followed for an exceptional guest experience.
• Present menu and provide information on portions, ingredients, food allergies, etc.
• Suggestive selling seasonal specials and beverages.
• Relay orders to kitchen by recording guest choices, identifying special dietary needs, and taking note of special requests.
• Serve orders by running food from kitchen and delivering accompaniments and condiments from service bars.
• Contribute to opening/running/closing side work (brewing coffee/tea, stocking beverage stations, filling water carafes, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, etc.).
• Contribute to a safe and clean working environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
