Job summary

InterContinental Hotels & Resorts in Houston is seeking a friendly Food & Beverage Attendant to provide fast, courteous service and ensure quality presentation of food and drinks per standards. You will greet guests, take orders, and support opening/closing duties while maintaining health/safety guidelines.

Ideal candidates have food service experience, strong communication skills, and flexibility to work nights and weekends.

Qualifications

Basic reading and writing.
Food service experience with general knowledge of restaurant operations.
Carrying, lifting up to 50 pounds.
Handling food objects: plates, trays, glasses, etc.
Moving about the restaurant; bending, stooping, kneeling.
Communication skills used when interacting with guests and staff.
Reading/writing for taking orders and paperwork; basic math for cash handling.
Must be able to work nights, weekends and/or holidays.

Responsibilities

Alert Outlet Management of service or safety issues and perform service recovery as needed.
Prepare food and beverages for service and present them to guests per standards.
Greet guests and take beverage and food orders promptly and professionally.
Clear and clean tables, maintain stations, and assist with opening/closing duties.
