Job summary

Origin Red Rocks in Golden, CO is seeking a friendly Restaurant Server to ensure guests have an exceptional dining experience from start to finish. You will greet guests, take orders, suggest menu items, and collaborate with the kitchen and bartenders to deliver a memorable meal.

This part-time, hourly position includes responsibilities such as table setup, wine service, and accurate handling of payments, with opportunities to assist during special events and peak periods.

Qualifications

• One year of prior food and beverage experience preferred.
• Prior guest relations training.
• Knowledge of proper food handling.
• Strong written/verbal communications skills.
• Attention to detail, speed, accuracy, courtesy, and teamwork with minimum supervision.
• Punctuality and reliable attendance are required.
• Proper food safety training and certification as described by law.
• Experience with computers (MS Office/Google), POS systems (Micros, Aloha) and reservation software (OpenTable).
• Physical ability to perform movements safely (reaching, bending, etc.).
• Ability to push/pull vacuum cleaners and wheeled carts up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Greet all customers warmly.
• Adhere to grooming and appearance standards.
• Prepare dining tables for service, napkins and utensils, refill condiments, and complete side-work tasks.
• Take guest food and beverage orders accurately.
• Know current menu choices, specialties, and deviations.
• Manage table assignments and communicate needs to cooks.
• Ensure a memorable dining experience for guests.
• Open and pour wine tableside.
• Record revenue and accept payments (cash, card, direct billing).
• Perform basic cleaning tasks as needed or directed.
• Assist with special events when required.
• Answer telephone with proper etiquette.
• Maintain positive working relationships with coworkers."
• Bus tables and assist with dirty dishes as needed.
• Assist kitchen with prep work or plating as necessary.
• Clean front of house areas (windows, fixtures, entrances).
• Fill water bottles, prepare fruit, roll silverware, and other service tasks.
