Job summary

Westin Virginia Beach Town Center is seeking a Restaurant Server to deliver warm, attentive service and assist in maintaining our dining area. You will take orders, serve food and drinks, handle payments, and help guests have a memorable dining experience.

Ideal candidates have strong English communication, prior guest relations experience, and knowledge of POS systems. Certification in liquor service (TIPS/Care) is preferred or obtained on day one.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or GED or equivalent.
• Must have good understanding of English and prior guest relations experience.
• TIPS, CARE or equivalent certification preferred or obtained by first day on the job.
• Ability to input and access information in the property management system/point of sale system.

Responsibilities

• Take food and beverage orders and serve to guest tables.
• Process payments and assist in maintaining restaurant area and equipment.
• Check IDs to verify age for alcoholic beverages.
• Describe menu items and offer recommendations upon request.
• Prepare tables for guests and maintain dining area cleanliness.
• Assist host with reservations, seating, and guest greetings.
