Job summary

Provincial Senior Living in Dogwood Estates is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to maintain cleanliness and a welcoming environment for our guests and staff.

You will perform cleaning tasks in guest rooms and common areas, dust and polish surfaces, handle laundry as needed, and follow health and safety procedures while delivering friendly, attentive service.

This part-time role requires flexibility to cover weekends and holidays and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous housekeeping experience is an advantage but not mandatory.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication skills and a friendly demeanor.
• Physical stamina to lift and carry heavy items.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies is a plus.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, as required.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning tasks in guest rooms, common areas, hallways, and bathrooms.
• Dust and polish furniture, fixtures, and surfaces.
• Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors, ensuring they are clean and presentable.
• Change bed linens and towels, and maintain cleanliness in guest rooms.
• Restock cleaning supplies and report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management.
• Follow cleaning procedures and protocols to ensure health and safety standards are met.
• Assist with laundry duties as needed.
• Provide exceptional customer service to guests and respond to their needs promptly and courteously.
• Ensure that all cleaning equipment and products are used and stored safely and properly.
• Collaborate with other staff members to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
