Job summary

Ellis Hotel, Atlanta, a Colwen Hotels Property, is seeking an experienced bartender to join our team. You will be the face of our restaurant, delivering memorable guest experiences with a quick, upbeat attitude and friendly communication.

Requirements include 1 year bartending experience, TIPS or state-equivalent, POS operation, drink knowledge, calm demeanor, and willingness to work a 7-day rotating schedule including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• One year of bartending experience.
• TIPS certification or state equivalent within 30 days.
• Ability to operate point-of-sale system.
• Extensive knowledge of drink preparation and/or service.
• Ability to remain calm when dealing with difficult guests.
• Ability to work quickly and efficiently.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and service focus.
• Ability to maintain personal hygiene.
• Must meet the legal age requirement of the jurisdiction.
• Ability to work 7-day rotational schedule, including nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Acknowledge and welcome each guest with a smile and friendly greeting.
• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks to hotel guests.
• Oversee the stock of liquor and bar supplies.
• Prepare guest checks and collect payment.
• Light food preparation and service as needed.
• Promote and upsell drinks and promotions.
• Create beverages with proper portion controls and responsible service.
• Maintain bar cleanliness and sanitation before and after shifts.
• Set up bar prior to opening and maintain equipment.
