Job summary

The historic St. James Hotel in Selma, Alabama, recently renovated and part of the Series by Marriott collection, seeks a friendly Bartender to join its Food & Beverage team. Create memorable guest experiences by crafting cocktails and providing warm, attentive service.

You will manage beverage orders, keep the bar organized, monitor stock, and ensure safety and sanitation while delivering hospitality in a busy hotel setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year bartending experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Alabama Responsible Vendor Program (RVP) preferred or required before serving.
• Food Handlers Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide guests with exceptional service through genuine engagement and attentiveness.
• Prepare beverage orders, generate checks, and handle payments.
• Maintain daily organization of the bar, ensure products are stocked and accessible.
• Monitor inventory levels to prevent stock shortages and reduce waste.
• Ensure cleanliness, sanitation, and proper operation of bar areas and equipment.
