Job description

Compensation Range: $18.00 - $22.00 Plus Tips

Location: 1911 ALDRICH ST STE 120, AUSTIN, Texas, 78723

Our Guest Attendants will serve theater guests, handling check-in, directing guests, answering questions at the Concierge desk, taking and confirming orders, delivering food and beverages, and processing payments. They focus on creating a world-class hospitality experience while adhering to safety standards, ensuring guests enjoy a safe, clean, and distraction-free environment. They are the face of Alamo and make guests feel welcome and cared for.

CORE ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain kindness and understanding
  • Organize and lead theater cleaning, ensuring seats are sanitized between screenings
  • Manage order cards, safety, and guest needs across multiple theaters
  • Manage guest orders from POS entry to delivery
  • Perform opening and closing duties as assigned
  • Maintain assistive listening and closed-caption devices
  • Foster a positive, team-driven atmosphere
  • Troubleshoot guest issues with management support
  • Own the lobby and seating experience, including managing lines, announcing seating, guiding guests, and communicating with leadership
  • Know our core and limited-time menu offerings
  • Be knowledgeable about current films and events
  • Maintain cleanliness standards for all venue areas
  • Follow all safety protocols to keep teams and guests healthy
  • Ensure excellent guest interactions and overall experience
  • Uphold company standards, values, and conduct

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 2+ years experience in high-volume restaurant or theater environment preferred
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexible schedule including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Active alcohol and food handler certifications as required by state
  • Being an cinephile is a plus!

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to lift and transport items weighing up to 50 lbs
  • Stand for extended periods
  • Walk up and down stairs multiple times
  • Position oneself discreetly in theaters
  • Operate POS touchscreen devices
  • Work cautiously in a busy, loud environment
