Job summary

Target is hiring a Guest Advocate to create an easy, inspiring shopping experience for guests both in-store and via digital channels. You will greet customers, help them find products, explain loyalty benefits, and guide them through pickup and drive-up options.

The role emphasizes teamwork, accuracy, and a friendly, solution-focused attitude. The position offers a fast-paced environment with flexible hours, including nights and weekends, and requires strong communication and problem-solving

Qualifications

• Communicating effectively, including using positive language and attentive to guests needs.

• Willing to educate guests and engage around products and services
• Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners, and other technology equipment as directed

• Capability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment and accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes
• Resolve guest questions quickly on the spot

Responsibilities

• Create an Easy, Inspiring and Friendly guest experience by delivering on the following commitments.
• Greet guests and help them find what they need or resolve issues to ensure a smooth shopping experience
• End every guest transaction with a sincere thank you
• Actively support team efforts and assist peers in other areas while maintaining a positive attitude
• Demonstrate a service culture by delivering the service standard and explaining benefits
• Know and speak to Target loyalty programs; assist with enrollment and sign-in as needed
• Scan and bag items efficiently, accurately and safely; minimize guest wait time
• Explain Order Pick-Up, Drive Up and online ordering; direct guests to enroll and use features
• Handle returns or exchanges following Target policies and procedures
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and assist with stock during store hours
• Follow safety policies and report hazards; uphold ethical conduct and compliance
