Job summary

Shuffield Lowman in Orlando is seeking a Guardianship Associate with 5–10 years of experience in guardianship, Medicaid planning and special needs estate planning to serve high‑net‑worth clients.

The successful candidate will manage a caseload from start to finish, conduct intake and consultations, draft and file pleadings, and appear in court across Florida as needed.

Florida bar license is required; excellent communication, organization and multitasking skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5–10 years of guardianship, Medicaid planning and/or estate planning experience with a focus on special needs planning.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong communication and professional demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Managing a caseload from start to finish.
• Intake and consultations.
• Drafting, e-filing, and serving pleadings.
• Managing clients’ expectations and returning all calls within 24 hours.
• Court appearances in the Orlando area and throughout Florida, if necessary.
• Networking and building relationships to grow the business.
