Job summary

Cona Law, PLLC is a renowned elder law and estate planning firm serving older adults and families. A Paralegal will draft guardianship petitions, interact with court personnel, and meet strict deadlines as part of the growing Guardianship team.

You will work with senior counsel, associate attorneys, and support staff, handling high-volume caseloads with integrity and professionalism, while enjoying a collaborative, community-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or Paralegal Certification (ABA-approved preferred).
• Minimum of 2 years of paralegal or legal assistant experience.
• Prior experience maintaining a Court calendar strongly preferred.
• Estate planning experience including drafting wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and related documents.
• Knowledge of elder law, Article 81 Guardianships, 17-A Guardianships, estate litigation, and collections preferred.

Responsibilities

• Draft guardianship petitions, court motions, pleadings, and accountings.
• Communicate with private and corporate clients and their representatives.
• Coordinate with court personnel and NYSCEF filing.
• Maintain organized case files and meet monthly deadlines.
• Assist the Estate Litigation Partner and guardianship team as needed.
